The PhoneUI sample application illustrates the use of the client-side Windows CE–based Bluetooth port emulator, device discovery, and client-side SDP queries.
The compiled sample generates a PhoneUI.exe application. When the icon is selected, a dialog box appears. From this dialog, the user can discover devices then select a device to act as a modem. In process, it runs inquiry, name queries and SDP queries.
After a Bluetooth device is discovered with modem access point capabilities, the pairing and authentication process is initiated. If those processes complete successfully, you can create a new network connectoid through the Network and Dial-up UI by selecting the Bluetooth DUN modem from the modem list. You can establish a connection by activating the connectoid. When a new connection is established, typical modem connection operations can be performed.
