On Windows CE .NET 4.2 and later and Windows XP, a DLL can specify one or more virtual channels as remote-control persistent. When a session is shadowed, that is, when a user remotely monitors the on-screen operation of another user, a virtual channel with the persistent flag set will not be disconnected from the server. Data continues to be sent and received through this channel. Virtual channels not specified as remote-control persistent will close. Remote-control persistent virtual channels are specified during the call to VirtualChannelInit or VirtualChannelInitEx.
