IFPCVpnPPPSettings::EnablePAP property

The EnablePAP property gets or sets a Boolean value that indicates whether the Password Authentication Protocol (PAP) is enabled.

This property is read/write.

Property value

Boolean value that specifies whether PAP is enabled.

Error codes

These property methods return S_OK if the call is successful; otherwise, they return an error code.

Remarks

This property is read/write. Its default value is False (VARIANT_FALSE in C++).

When PAP is used for authentication, passwords are sent in plaintext, or unencrypted, form. You should use this authentication protocol only when support for non-Microsoft remote PAP clients is required.
