When caching is enabled, Microsoft Forefront Threat Management Gateway (TMG) maintains a centralized cache of frequently requested objects that can be accessed by all Forefront TMG clients. When multiple Forefront TMG servers are associated with the same array, distributed caching is allowed among the array members. Distributed caching may be implemented with arrays, chains of proxy servers, or a combination of both. For brief descriptions of the Forefront TMG caching features, see Cache Overview.
Note Multiple Forefront TMG servers can be joined to the same array only in Forefront TMG Enterprise Edition.
