The INDAdapter interface defines the following methods.

| Query | Retrieves the capabilities and limits of the Network Direct adapter. |
| CreateCompletionQueue | Allocates a completion queue. |
| RegisterMemory | Registers an application-defined buffer to be used in requests issued to the inbound and outbound queues of an endpoint. |
| DeregisterMemory | Removes the memory registration for an application buffer. |
| CreateMemoryWindow | Creates an uninitialized memory window. |
| CreateConnector | Creates a new INDConnector instance. |
| Listen | Creates a Listen object that listens for incoming connection requests. |
