Compares the specified strings.

Parameters

• x
  Type: System.String

  The first string to compare.

• y
  Type: System.String

  The second string to compare.

Return Value

Type: System.Int32
Zero if the strings are equal. A negative number if x is less than y in sort order. A positive number if x is greater than y in sort order
