By integrating your Help collection into the Visual Studio Combined Collection (VSCC), you make your Help collection a child of the VSCC parent collection. To attach one Help collection to another in this child-parent model, you must provide special collection-level files to enable the parent-child integration.
These collection-level files differ from, and are independent of, similar files that have the same file name extension as those found in your Help projects. For example, although you define a table of contents for a Help project by using a project-level table of contents (.HxT) file, you must also create a collection-level .HxT file to integrate the Help project with the VSCC. The same is true for the other collection-level files.
