The following errors can occur when you select a file in the Skin box of the Form Factor Properties dialog box.

Typical Causes |

Cannot load skin; the XML file cannot be opened |
Incorrect file name or path; not truly an XML file; file locked by another process; insufficient user privileges. |
Cannot load skin; the image file referred to by the XML file cannot be opened |
Any of the above; image is not a BMP or PNG, the only supported image formats; image file is corrupted. |
Cannot load skin; the XML file does not contain a valid skin schema |

To correct this error
Click OK to dismiss the error message box.
In the Form Factor Properties dialog box, select a valid skin file.
