Items cannot be added to a project that is not available in Solution Explorer.

This error generally occurs when a project that has been specified is not open in Solution Explorer. Visual Studio cannot add items to a project that is not currently available in Solution Explorer.

To correct this error

  • Add the specified project to the current solution or open the solution containing the specified project.
