Use the Transaction Details pane on the Transactions tab in Cube Designer to define and manage translations for the currently selected cube.
Options
- Default Language
Sets the names of the cube objects in the default language.
Object Type
Displays the property that will be translated. The following properties can be translated:- Measure group
Caption property - Measure
Caption and DisplayFolder properties - Dimension
Caption property - Perspective
Caption property - Key Performance Indicator (KPI)
Caption, Description, and DisplayFolder properties - Action
Caption property - Named set
Caption property - Calculated member
Caption property
- Measure group
- <Language>
Type the value of the property for the cube object in the selected language.
Context Menu
The following options are available in the context menu, which is displayed by right-clicking a translation in the Translation Details pane:

New Translation |
Select to display the Select Language dialog box and create a new translation. The translation will appear as a new column within the Translation Details grid. For more information about the Select Language dialog box, see Select Language Dialog Box (SSAS). |
Delete Translation |
Select to delete the selected translation. For more information about the Delete Objects dialog box, see Delete objects and files Dialog Box (Analysis Services). |
