Use the Alignment tab of the Format dialog box to position the values within a selected cell or data region.
Text Alignment
- Horizontal
Specify where the value is positioned horizontally within a selected cell or data region. By default, general is selected.
- Vertical
Specify where the value is positioned vertically within a selected cell or data region. By default, top is selected.
Padding
- Left
Specify how much padding, or space, there is between the left edge of a cell and the value displayed within the cell. The default is 2 points.
- Right
Specify how much padding, or space, there is between the right edge of a cell and the value displayed within the cell. The default is 2 points.
- Top
Specify how much padding, or space, there is between the top edge of a cell and the value displayed within the cell. The default is 4 points.
- Bottom
Specify how much padding, or space, there is between the bottom edge of a cell and the value displayed within the cell. The default is 2 points.
