Adding titles, or labels, to the entire chart and to the x- and y-axes helps people understand what the chart is illustrating. A title is descriptive text that is automatically aligned to an axis or centered at the top of a chart. Titles cannot be rotated or occupy more than one line. You can format the title text, and align the text with the chart.
