Specifies the network protocol used when the SQL Server Reconciler communicates with the Distributor.

Property Value

The NetworkType constant used by the SQL Server Reconciler to communicate with the Distributor.

Remarks

The NetworkType value can be one of the following constants:

Constant	Description
DefaultNetwork	Use the current configured client Net-Library (default).
MultiProtocol	Multiprotocol Net Library.
TcpipSockets	TCP/IP Sockets Net-Library.

The DistributorNetwork property must be specified when the SQL Server Reconciler connects to the Distributor using a network protocol other than the default protocol specified in the Client Network Utility.

If Distributor connection properties are not specified, it is assumed the Publisher and Distributor are on the same instance of SQL Server, and Publisher connection properties are used when connecting to the Distributor.

The DistributorAddress property must be specified if the value of the DistributorNetwork property is not set to DefaultNetwork.

Any public static (Shared in Microsoft Visual Basic) members of this type are thread safe. Any instance members are not guaranteed to be thread safe.
