Reads the external system definition from the specified metadata XML for the specified Metadata Store.

Parameters

• xml
  Type: System.String

  A string containing the metadata XML. The root element of the metadata XML must be the LobSystem Element in LobSystems (BDCMetadata Schema).

• errors
  Type: []

  A list of noncritical errors that occurred when reading the XML.

• packageContents
  Type: Microsoft.SharePoint.BusinessData.Parser.PackageContents

  Options that specify which elements to read.

• metadataCatalog
  Type: Microsoft.SharePoint.BusinessData.Administration.AdministrationMetadataCatalog

  The Metadata Store that this external system is defined in.

Return Value

Type: Microsoft.SharePoint.BusinessData.Administration.LobSystem
The external system.
