Hi everyone - i hope someone knows how to help.

I am no longer able to add, edit, or delete MailTips for distribution lists. The ability to do so disappeared since the upgrade to the 'new' Exchange Admin Center. You were able to do this when adding/editing your distribution lists in the previous version of the Exchange Admin Center (until relatively recently, you had an option to view the old admin center, alas no more).

When i click through the dash to edit my desired distribution list (recipients>groups>distribution lists>____), none of the "editable" sections present anything to do with MailTips. When creating a new list, you don't have any such options either. You can edit other properties when creating/editing, but nothing regarding the MailTips.

This is true for distribution lists that are both exclusively within my organization, and also for outside my organization/mixed.

I have MS 365 via GoDaddy, which hosts our domain etc. When I click Admin Center on bottom left of the dash, it takes me to GoDaddy's admin interface, I don't have the option there, either (though they do present an option to edit other properties of your distribution lists).

    Hi Barak Raz,

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

We can use the following command to set MailTips for distribution list:

    Set-DistributionGroup “group_name” -MailTip "MailTip_text"

Please check this article for more details about configuration MailTips:
