Why is there no content in my Application Insights data for Exceptions?

I have a Function app in Azure hooked up to Application insights. Early this morning, it reports many exceptions, but there is no further information about the exceptions. I have sampling turned on in my host.json for the function app, but it specifically excludes Exception. So, where is the data about the exceptions?
