No scalable VMs in East US region

We have provisioned an AKS cluster in the East US region. It is stopped / started using an Automation Account each evening to reduce costs as it's a Development environment only. This is the second time in the past week that we have been unable to start it due to limited availability of D*v4/5 servers.

It will take a considerable effort to move the RGs, VNETs, Subnets, Cluster and storage to a new region (with no guarantee that we won't run into the same problem). I was hoping to be able to ask Azure Technical staff a direct question, but I've been sent here to a public Q&A for support.

My question is - what servers are actually available in East US (General Purpose - D series) that aren't going to cause my AKS cluster to fail again. I have tried D4as_v4, D4as_v5. What servers are actually available in the East US region?

    Hello, @Pete Raleigh !

I'm having trouble deploying Dv4 and Dv5 VMs in the East US region. What VM SKUs are available?

Dv4 and Dv5 VMs in the East US region are currently experiencing high demand. We would recommend looking at Dv6 VMs in that region.
