Adding devices to IoT hub is greyed out

I'm not exactly sure why, but the option to add devices is greyed out on my IoT hub. The only hint it gives is maybe a network error.

Could you please share some details like which region, what tier of IoTHub, number of Devices count are you using?
Please check the following pointers which may help you in solving your issue:- Please check and let us know if the issue is transient or persistent. Sometimes, network errors can be temporary and might resolve on their own or by changing networks.
- Please ensure that the IoT Hub is not behind a private endpoint or proxy. If it is, public access might be disabled, which can cause the "Add device" button to be greyed out.

welcome to this moderated Azure community forum.
Checking the network is always a great idea. On top of that, try another browser of clear the cache of your browser.
This could be a glitch in the Azure portal although it still works in West Europe for me.
Can you try to add a device using the Azure CLI?
az login az extension add --name azure-iot az iot hub device-identity create -n {iothub_name} -d {device_id} --eePlease try the Visual Studio Code extension for IoT Hub too.
