Hello all,

i was looking for information on deep links and Azure Single Sign On and came across this article:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/entra/identity/enterprise-apps/configure-linked-sign-on

when looking at the steps:
Configure linked-based single sign-on

  1. Sign in to the Microsoft Entra admin center as at least a Cloud Application Administrator.
  2. Browse to Entra ID > Enterprise apps > All applications.
  3. Search for and select the application that you want to add linked SSO.
  4. Select Single sign-on and then select Linked.
  5. Enter the URL for the sign-in page of the application.
  6. Select Save.

i then went to my Azure and opened the app i wanted to try this for and at step 4 i clicked Single Sign On and nowhere on my page does it say "linked" or anything like that. i signed on as the Global Admin so i must have the rights. am i missing something?

    Hello @Michael Menzie (Admin),

Linked based single sign on is one of the SSO methods that can be configured for enterprise applications. Generally this option shows up for applications which normally do not support any other SSO integration like SAML, OIDC. There are a lot of enterprise applications which do not support Linked based SSO configuration as they expect users to configure more secure protocol based SSO.

The SSO configuration page shows the available methods for the configuration for the particular application. It depends on the application configuration, if it supports linked based SSO the option will be available for configuration by Entra in the SSO page.
