Hi Jeevan Reddy Palla,
Attempted to run the
outlook.exe /cleanserverrules
command, but it had no effect.
If you have multiple or additional mailboxes in your Outlook profile, running the /cleanrules command line switch deletes the rules from all connected mailboxes. Therefore, it is recommended that you only run this command when your Outlook profile only contains the one, target mailbox.
Given this situation, here are some other troubleshooting you can try to resolve the issue:
Check RSS Feeds Settings:
- Go to File > Account Settings > Account Settings.
- Click on the RSS Feeds tab and ensure there are no feeds that might be causing this issue. If there are, remove them.
Recreate Outlook Profile
- Go to Control Panel > Mail > Show Profiles > Add a new profile.
Audit Message Trace (Admin-Only)
Use the Microsoft 365 Admin Center to track email routing:
- Navigate to Exchange Admin Center > Mail Flow > Message Trace.
Filter for recent emails to confirm if they’re being rerouted by a hidden rule or transport agent.
If you’re still having trouble, you can try contacting Get support - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn the support team will have access to assist remotely and collect logs to investigate the issue from the back end.
