why does psinfo still report that the os version is 6.3?

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion

thanks for the info --- if that were the case the value would be 10.0 --- as O I recall the win32 api had some conditions and 6.3 was the last value it would report with a manifest file

Yes, it should be 10.0, like the value returned by RtlGetVersion API

But I have also 6.3 in registry on Windows 10 22H2

@fpefpe Following image shows results of calling GetVersionInfoEx on Win10 22H2 without a manifest, with a manifest without a compatibility section and with manifests containing various compatibility specifications.

The manifest resource embedded in PSInfo64 does not contain a compatibility section. If PSInfo64 was reporting information returned by the GetVersionInfoEx function then it would return Version 6.2, Build 9200. So on my Win10 22H2 system it appears that when PSInfo64 reports Product version 6.3 and Kernel build number 19045 its not reporting the results obtained from GetVersionInfoEx.
