Deeplink to a Channel does not expand Team dropdown on the left panel

Hello

I have a PCF control and from within it I'm creating a hyperlink to navigate to a channel under a team in the MS Teams App. I'm using one of the deeplink formats specified in the article that I have linked below. The issue is, when I click on the link it takes me to that particular channel in the MS teams app, but I cannot see the corresponding team expanded on the left navigation panel show that this channel is underneath that. The team is collapsed.

Also please refer to the screenshot that I have attached here for reference.

Please let me know if there is a way to address this issue, i.e. to expand the team on the left panel to show the channel that I'm currently in.
