I'm new to excel and analyze a huge set of data. I need to count the Chinese characters only. The LEN formula counts all characters and I cannot figure out how to make it only count the Chinese characters! Please help!!!

Hi Pui Sin that is a rather tricky question! There isn't a specific function for chinese characters as far as I know, but you may wish to have a look at the textsplit function (with "ignore_empty" turned on to avoid producing an empty cell at the end) and then use the columns function to count the number of resultant cells. While this cannot extract the chinese characters, it can serve as a workaround to evaluate the number of times they have appeared. You can refer to the example in the screenshot below (the trim function is optional). Hope that helps!
