How to get notifications to an alternative email in Azure DevOps

I am trying to enable notifications to my regular business account from Azure DevOps. It is not the onmicrosoft.com account that was created for my Azure access. I went into my profile in devops and changed my contact email. I also went back into Entra and created an email attribute with the same. Notifications are setup in ADO to send email notification any time a new task is created, but I'm not receiving them. Any ideas?

    Hi @Tom Majeski ,

Try to get Azure DevOps notifications sent to your preferred business email:

Update Profile Email – Go to your DevOps profile (User Settings > Profile) and update your contact email to your business address.

Check Entra ID Email – In Microsoft Entra (Azure AD), make sure your user account has the business email set under “Alternate email” or “Other emails.”

Create Custom Notification Rule – In your Azure DevOps project, go to Project Settings > Notifications > New Subscription, choose “Work Item Created,” and set the delivery to your business email address manually.

Check Spam/Junk – Ensure the emails aren't being filtered out by your email provider.

Email Server Filters – Confirm your business email domain isn’t blocking emails from @dev.azure.com.

    Hope this helps.
