Published Apps in a workspace appears from time to time, not always.

I'm using FSLogix and installed Matlab in my profile folder, then published the application. So currently in my Windows apps I have to see three icons: Virtual Desktop, Edge, and Matlab.

But I only see Virtual Desktop. When I click refresh subscription - all other applications MAY appear, but most of the time do not appear. Most of the time I can't see the other two icons.

I need help. I am writing here because Microsoft is blocking any possibility for me to write anywhere else, even though I pay 29$/month to read free documentation. Too bad.

As you have mentioned that refreshing the subscription might help. Try a complete logout/login cycle to refresh your session, which sometimes clears up app visibility issues.
Remote Desktop clients cache app lists. If the path to the application or icon isn't valid at the time of subscription or refresh, they may be skipped or not shown.
If MATLAB was installed in the user profile, its shortcuts may not be properly registered for all users. Have you confirmed that Matlab is indeed published properly and visible to other users?

I've tried logging off and logging on so many times that it doesn't help.

Windows Apps or Remote Desktop Client has been reinstalled several times, even with a new Windows user profile.

Matlab was installed on the profile disk because it's the only user who needs this software, so I assign only this user to the Applications group. No one else needs Matlab.

As you mentioned, the path to the application or icon isn't valid - because usually the user profile disk is detached, and the path isn't valid.

I was thinking the same way. But the path to the icon is always valid (see my screenshot). My tests confirmed that in this case the Matlab may appear, not always. In case if both, application AND icon are not accessible without login, nothing shows up.

Seems like we are facing another bug of AVD. Once again.

Hi @Andrey Strukov

The published applications must be installed on session hosts and made accessible either through the Start Menu, file path, or App Attach packages — all of which are expected to exist independently of a user’s session or FSLogix profile.

In your case, because Matlab is installed within your personal FSLogix profile disk (VHDX), the Remote Desktop Client cannot consistently detect it during workspace subscription refreshes.

Applications should be installed on the session host system-wide, not tied to user profiles.
Published RemoteApps need persistent visibility from the host OS's perspective — not dependent on FSLogix profile attachment timing.
