Unable to Enable Custom Text Classification / Custom Named Entity Recognition Features in Azure Language Resource

Hello,

I am currently facing an issue with my Azure Language resource. I am trying to enable the Custom text classification and Custom Named Entity Recognition features, but I find that these options are disabled in the Azure portal.

I navigated to my Language resource in the Azure portal.

I selected Features from the left side menu under the Resource Management section.

I attempted to enable the Custom text classification and Custom Named Entity Recognition features, but they remain disabled.

What should i do?

To enable the Custom text classification and Custom Named Entity Recognition features in your Azure Language resource,

Here are some steps:

Confirm that your language resource has identity management enabled. You can do this by checking the Identity section in the Azure portal.

Make sure that you have the necessary roles assigned to your Azure AI Language resource. You should have either the owner or contributor role assigned.

Verify that your language resource has the storage blob data contributor role assigned on the storage account you are connecting to.

Check if your language resource is located in a region that supports these features, as they are only available in certain Azure regions.
