Currently I have installed SQL Server Express 2019, and looking to upgrade this to Server Standard 2019 using the installation center which requires a product key.

As you can no longer purchase SQL Server Standard 2019, I have purchased SQL Server Standard 2022. I was informed that I would be able to use the downgrade rights to install Server Standard 2019.

Please can you inform how I can downgrade from SQL Server Standard 2022 to SQL Server Standard 2019.

The application I wish to use this for does not support SQL Server Standard 2022 so this is NOT an option.

Thanks.

As far as I know you have downgrade rights only if you have SLA as well.

Anyway, to install SQL Server 2019 you need a product key for 2019 and for this you have to contact your seller and he will inform you if you have a downgrade rigth.
