Permissions Error: Elevated Admin account cannot Start/Delete VM

When I created my Azure Tenant it was under my domain and email hosted by GoDaddy.

One year later I renewed my domain but moved my email to Zoho. After doing that I could no longer access my Azure Tenant.

I reached support and was told I could gain access again using, ******@NETORGFT1493730.onmicrosoft.com. (Email changed slightly to avoid spambots)

I can SEE everything in my Tenant now, but don’t have permission to edit or delete existing dashboards or Virtual Machines.

This is the only User in the tenant and has two Assigned Roles: Application Administrator and Global Administrator.

    Hi Mat,

Please navigate to your subscription in Azure portal, then on left click Access control (IAM) blade.

Click Add -- Add role assignment, next click Privileged administrator roles tab, select Owner, click Next, click Select members, search for and Select your account, click Next, on Conditions tab select Allow user to assign all roles (highly privileged), click Review + assign, Review + assign.

Sign out and back in for the permission change to take effect and then test to see if you are able to Start VM(s). Please let me know your results.

Please click Accept Answer and upvote if the above was helpful.

    Thanks.
