We tested co-managed with SCCM and Intune but the decision has been made to move back to SCCM only.

How do I remove Intune Co-Management from devices so it is back to SCCM only?

@Daniel Kaliel, Thanks for posting in Q&A. To move back to SCCM, we can move the workloads to back to SCCM just as Rahul said.

As for removing co-management from a device, there are two steps: remove from any collection assigned for co-management enablement and unenroll device from Intune.

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/intune/intune-service/remote-actions/devices-wipe#retire

Due to transition to Third-Party Management Solution, you can refer to the following:

    1. Prepare for Transition:
      • Ensure that all necessary configurations and policies are set up in the new third-party management solution.
    2. Remove the device from SCCM.
    3. Migrate Devices:
      • Follow the specific steps provided by the third-party solution to enroll and manage devices.

Hope the above information can help.

Well the easiest way to achieve this is to just move the workloads back to ConfigMgr. There is absolutely no harm in leaving the devices in Intune. Let them check-in incase you need to re-enable the workloads. On a side note, I’ll encourage you to use co-management and manage workloads using Intune wherever possible. This will enable you to align with modern workplace principles laid down by Microsoft.
