Expanding Reports in SCCM takes a long time

I have just stood up a new MEM 2409 environment but we are having lots of issues with reporting.

When I try to expand \Monitoring\Overview\Reporting\Reports it takes 45 seconds or more. When I click on a folder to look at the reports inside, it takes up to 3 minutes for the list of reports to appear.

This behavior happens with the console on a physical device and a virtual desktop. However, when doing this from the console on the site server, I encounter no problems.

Reports run fine.

A few other things I've noticed:

  1. I cannot get to [http://<SQL Server>/Report] from the site server but can from my VD.
  2. Report Builder does not work in the new environment. On the site server, when I make a change to the query language of the dataset and hit OK, I am prompted for the Reporting Service account password. I enter it and get: "Could not load file or assembly 'System.Transactions, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089' or one of its dependencies. Either a required impersonation level was not provided, or the provided impersonation level is invalid. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070542)"
         When I perform this action on a VM or physical device, I get:

          "A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: SQL Network Interfaces, error 26 - Error Locating Server/Instance Specified)

        3. One last thing is that in the Reporting services point Properties, the Reporting Services server instance is "SSRS" instead of the expected database instance name. There is nothing else in the dropdown.
       ```I ran traces while trying to expand Reports from both the server and a VM and our networking folks say they don't see any delayed responses, presumably from the SQL server.
I am getting to the point of simply reinstalling the Reporting Services role in MEM.
EDIT: the server is on a different domain from the VM and workstation. The server is also in a different forest than the VM and workstation.
A trace revealed that when the VM and workstation send "POST /ReportServer/ReportService2005.asmx HTTP/1.1, NTLMSSP_Negotiate’ ", it gets no responses for a long time. When the server sends it, it gets a response immediately.
Could it be due to NTLM settings in Server 2022 vs Windows 11? Can it be a something related to the devices being in different domains and forests?
Thoughts?
    Hi,
    Hope everything is going well.
    After the way you tag questions on Q&A is updated, for any "Microsoft Configuration Manager" related problem, you can tag it with "Microsoft Intune", and then "Microsoft Configuration Manager" as the child tag.
    1,How much memory is allocated to the Configuration Manager SQL DB? Configuration Manager would seem normal but when it’s time to run anything else on the server, it may be starved for memory.
    2,Are you doing DB maintenance on SQL? What is the transact log size for SSRS DB?
    Feel free to contact me if you have any concerns/queries.
    Best regards,
    Simon
