I am receiving this failed login error when trying to add a workspace to Remote Desktop / Windows App:

Certificate validation failed

Try again by doing the following:

  1. Close the current browser
  2. Open a new browser to sign in
  3. Select the certificate If you are using a smart card, make sure it is inserted correctly.

I have deleted the applications, redownloaded Windows App, etc. and it still isn't working. I am not using a smartcard. I also looked for offending Certs but found none.

I am on Windows 11 23H2 and Remote Desktop App 10.2.3012.0

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in the Microsoft community forum.

It seems that you're having a problem trying to add a workspace to the remote desktop through the Web client. You can try the following steps to troubleshoot the problem:

    1. Check the browser version update, clear the cache and cookies, and then try to log in again.
    2. Temporarily disable the firewall or antivirus software in a non-production environment.
    3. Ensure that the system time and date of the user computer are correct. If the system time is incorrect, the certificate verification may fail.
    4. Ensure that the required certificates are correctly installed on your computer. You may need to install root and intermediate certificates from your organization's Certificate Authority (CA). If you have deployed a remote desktop gateway, check its configuration and that the certificate used by the gateway is valid and trusted by the client computer.

    I hope this helps.

    Best regards

    Jacen
