Hello

I have tried to download the export packages from the ediscovery menu. I have tried on mac & linux Edge and firefox browsers. When I push the download button, nothing happens. The close button does work. Is there another way to access these files? Is there something I am missing?

Thank you

    Hi @Christopher Lowden

Thank you for posting your query!

As I understand that you are having trouble downloading export packages from the eDiscovery menu in Microsoft Purview. Here are some steps and suggestions that might help you troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Check Browser Compatibility - Ensure that the browsers you're using (Edge and Firefox) are up to date. Sometimes, older versions can have compatibility issues with certain web applications.

Clear Cache and Cookies - Sometimes, clearing the browser cache and cookies can resolve unexpected behavior.

Browser Extensions - Disable any browser extensions or add-ons that might interfere with downloads or the functionality of the eDiscovery interface.

Network Issues - Make sure there are no network restrictions or firewalls that might be blocking the download. Sometimes, corporate networks have restrictions that could interfere with certain functionalities.

Try a Different Device - If possible, try accessing the eDiscovery portal from a different device to see if the issue persists.

Check Permissions - Ensure that you have the necessary permissions to download export packages from eDiscovery. Sometimes, insufficient permissions can prevent downloads. Add your account to the eDiscovery Manger (Not eDiscovery administrator).

For more details, please refer: Assign eDiscovery permissions in the Purview portal

Please refer to MS Q&A thread - eDiscovery - pressing export does not appear to do anything addressing similar issue.

I hope this information helps. Please do let us know if you have any further queries.

    Hello

I understand what you mean, now. Each of the "modules" needs to have rights attributed manually even if you are the GLOBAL SITE ADMIN. In PURVIEW, I found the user settings and edited the ediscovery admin & manager permissions and the downloads now work.
