Any solution for this?
Mac System Data repeatedly filling up with Microsoft .staging SystemExtensions – please help!
Ever since updating my 2015 Macbook Pro to the Monterey OS, my System Data goes from normal size to maxing out my hard disk space within a couple hours. Restarting the computer seems to reset it, but I have to restart several times a day, and sometimes lose work that I can't save on the full disk before restarting.
I have run OmniDiskSweeper to find the source. Screenshot here: Screen Shot 2023-09-13 at 11.05.14 AM.png
The problem looks to be .staging SystemsExtensions – specifcally, hundreds and hundreds of 85.2MB files marked com.microsoft, each containing folders called _CodeSignature, Frameworks, and MacOS, plus files called Info.plista and embedded.provisionprofile.
What can I do to stop these .staging files from piling up? Thank you in advance for any suggestions :)
